Veteran & Farmer Resources Workshop on August 24th
The United States Department of Agriculture invites farmers, veterans and community leaders in the agriculture industry to attend a Veteran & Farmer Resources Workshop at the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1513 230 E. Park Avenue, Escondido, Calif. 92025 on Wednesday, August 24 from 9 to 1 pm.
The goal of the workshop is to work with the local community to extend the reach to veterans. The USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) has determined that veterans are underrepresented in conservation programs participation and is looking to partner with agriculture, veteran and local organizations to educate and create awareness of USDA and community resources.
The Aug. 24 Veteran & Farmer Resources workshop will consist of three 45-minute panels. The panel sessions will be developed for sharing business insight and industry trade advice while highlighting agricultural resources, business resources and veteran & educational resources. Booths will be set up from our agricultural and veteran support organizations for farmers, veterans and the general public to learn and gather information.
