Septic System Module

Septic systems (or onsite waste water treatment systems) can be sources of excessive nutrient leaching into surface and groundwater, which leads to poor water quality. Nitrogen and phosphorus, from septic system leach fields, enters waterbodies and can significantly contribute to the degradation of groundwater and surface water quality. Proper septic system maintenance is critical to keeping watersheds healthy.
